July 19, 2011 – Lionsgate and the filmmakers of THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 3D, the next installment in the long standing franchise, are pleased to announce the cast of the film, which picks up the story where the original 1974 film left off and will deliver a new chapter in the Leatherface saga with the goal of making it as horrifying as the original -- in 3D.
The cast includes an all new actor in the iconic villain role of Leatherface, an exciting cast of principle actors, and featured cameos by several cast members of the original 1974 film, famously directed by Tobe Hooper.

Friday The 13th U.S. Release Set For April 2012
Santa Monica, CA, July 20, 2011– LIONSGATE® (NYSE: LGF), a leading global entertainment company, acquired worldwide distribution rights to the horror film THE CABIN IN THE WOODS from MGM and scheduled the film to be released on April 13, 2012, it was announced today jointly by Joe Drake, President of the Motion Picture Group, and Jason Constantine, President of Acquisitions and Co-Productions. LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mike the Pike Productions, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has re-upped its option for ‘The Skin Trade’ by George R.R. Martin, the author/creator behind HBO’s smash success, ‘Game of Thrones’.
‘GRRM’s ‘The Skin Trade’ is a werewolf novella with a macabre backdrop in the vein of films like ‘’Underworld’, ‘The Howling’ and even ‘Silence of the Lambs’, to enable a high priority development phase for the project toward production in 2012. The Option gives Mike The Pike Productions exclusive film rights to develop the material for screen, intended for wide theatrical release. These actions will be coupled with its agenda to begin pre-production on a separate, low-budget feature by end of 2011.

The film series’ finale breaks all-time record for a midnight opening
BURBANK, Calif.--(Business Wire) July 15, 2011 - Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2” smashed the domestic box office record for a midnight opening, taking in a phenomenal $43.5 million. The announcement was made today by Dan Fellman, President, Warner Bros. Pictures Domestic Distribution.
In addition, the film broke the midnight opening record for IMAX theatres, with a $2 million gross on a record number of IMAX screens.

Arnold Schwarzenegger To Star In High Octane Chase Story
Santa Monica, CA, July 12, 2011– LIONSGATE® (NYSE: LGF), a leading global entertainment company, today announced that Arnold Schwarzenegger will be making his return to film in THE LAST STAND, which the company is developing as a starring vehicle for the former California Governor. The announcement was made by the President of Lionsgate’s Motion Picture Group Joe Drake, and President of Production Michael Paseornek.
Korean action-suspense master Kim Jee-Woon (A TALE OF TWO SISTERS, THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE WEIRD) will direct the film, which is to be based on a spec script by Andrew Knauer that was subsequently rewritten by Jeffrey Nachmanoff. Lionsgate has domestic and international distribution rights, with the film having pre-sold well in several overseas territories already. Lorenzo di Bonaventura will be producing the film through di Bonaventura Pictures.
